Diva Knitting Interview

Cheryl from Diva Knitting has interviewed me! Yay, I am shamelessly excited about my first interview.

So here are her questions for me, my answers, the rules and then some:
Here are your 5 questions.

1. Name your favorite movie...what makes it your number one pick?
This is hard to answer... I would have to go with Star Wars because it is eternal and I will always be able to slip away the galaxy far far away. Besides, Han Solo is HOT!! Second runner up would be... White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. Why? Because it's my favorite Christmas movie EVER.
2. Besides knitting, what other hobbies do you have and how did you get into them?
Reading. I'm not sure why I started getting into reading, but I know that I have been reading since kindergarten. I love to read just about anything. Cooking I got into because on Saturday mornings I would watch the Frugal Gourmet with my grandpa who also had a subscription to Food and Wine magazine, so I would leaf through the recipes and watch the Frugal Gourmet and Victory Garden and dream of cooking... then I was tall enough to cook. ;) Writing I got into because of reading and my
kindergarten teacher. She had a typewriter in the classroom and when we had that part of the classroom for activities I would go straight to it and type up little 2 sentence stories. Every single one of my teachers afterwards all had a maniacal bent towards creative writing, lucky me. Photoshop/digital arts kind of came by necessity... one day I needed a tiled background and I couldn't find any I liked so I opened up Photoshop and there you have it. :)
3. What caused you to begin blogging?
Well my first "blog" was @ diaryland, but before that my personal website back in the late 90s was always updated very journal liketoo. :) But I started my first blogger acct in July of last year as a way to vent about frustrations. My knitting blog started in Dec. of last year, as part of my web design class.
4. What is your idea of a perfect vacation?
My perfect vacation would start with me dropping my daughter off somewhere safe and loving for a couple of months... lol. ;) No, seriously I would love to go backpacking again, this time starting with India and working my way East, a la Jeff Greenwald (That book, btw was very inspirational.) Me, my hubby and some backpacks, all the time and money in the world. India, Tibet, China, and Japan. Maybe a little bit more in there for good measure, not sure. :) Backpacking for most of it but hotels when necessary. My other dream vacation was HERE but I already did it back in 99 with my husband. It was sooo not what we expected; wonderful and awful at the same time. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes adventure and camping. And foreigners. I was the ONLY AMERICAN except for the tour guide (husband is British). I am not anti-cultural, I loved the fact that they were from ALL over. However... when they get you sick by doing silly things like refilling water from the public taps at camping sites (shudder) and get bombed off their
asses every night... they get annoying.
5. And, because I think this should always be the last question (in honor of the undercover celebrity) Shag, marry, push off a cliff. Please put each of the following men into one of these three categories. Julian McMahon, Matt Dillon, John Cusack.
Julian McMahon (even though he is creepy), John Cusack, and Matt Dillon

3. What was the last "guilty pleasure" that you can admit to and when did it happen?
4. What is the most bizarre thing in your refridgerator right now?
5. And in honor of the undercover celebrity, shag, marry, push off a cliff: David Krumholtz, Ben Affleck, Vin Diesel

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In crafty news... the JoAnns near me is moving to another city. ::sob:: this sucks hard because I hate having
to drive to freaking PALMDALE for everything. /rant. So anyhow, they have deep discounted EVERYTHING in
the store, like crazy good prices so I made out like a bandit today. I got some stuff for RAOKs, for my as of yet
unknown SP, for my stitch markers, and for my needle swap partner Cynth.

ttfn!

Angela
