Random Acts of Kindness
Wow. I was added to the RAOK group earlier this week and haven't had a chance to post about it. I can't wait to start sending out things. :) I love swapping, and in every swap I have tried to include some "thing" or a note or a tiny surprise. It just makes interaction with people so much nicer. :)
Before I found blogging I was the recipient of 2 RAOKs, and they really did change my perspective. The first one came shortly after I moved to my first home in 2003. I had recieved a neighbor's mail by mistake so I dropped it off at her house. She was very kind to me, and came over a couple of days later with a small package for me. It had a gorgeous card and a pretty little mirror in it. Then, a few months later a friend from Austrailia who is still hammering me about my other blog which started as an online novella, sent me a wonderful gift of a keychain, bookmark, a picture frame, and a cute little bug for my daughter. These things make me smile and remember her kindness each time I see them.
So today I sent out some birthday cards online. I am not savvy enough to be sending snail mail cards... I wonder at how many christmas cards I am going to send this year (YAY! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas and christmas cards). But I digress. I hope none of the lovely ladies I sent a card to is taken off guard by my e-cards. :)

POST SCRIPT
MAN! the weather we had today, gunmetal grey skies, rain, and shadows. If only it weren't 102 degrees outside... the rain was drying as it fell. I reminds me of a journal entry from 1996 (I was going to be 17 later that year) "Winter is coming! I can smell it on the wind" or something like that. Ooooh I can't wait!
