is everything I knit lately doomed? I have started and restarted the argyle square four times and now my beautiful scarf has been cast on and recast on six times. I think there's a plot...
in other news, I just watched "The Machinist" with Christian Bale, what a cutie, but not in this movie. He was so thin (on purpose) that looking at him made me feel nauseas. Thank heavens he gained it back for his role as the young Bruce Wayne--- BTW my favorite part of Batman Begins was when he jumped into the fountain after buying the hotel--- excellent, such bad boy style and the operative word there was STYLE. The movie left me feeling awful, which sucks because I also finished reading The World According To Garp the same day and man. Garp and The Machinist just go together a little too well. My mind was f--ked yesterday by books and movies (typical).
All day long I have been musing on the Under Toad, and I have come to realize that there really is something called the Under Toad, and I have felt its presence before, but never have I thought to give it a name. This book has moved me beyond what I thought a book could and I am glad I read it.
And finally, just what I needed to get me out of the glums: Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. Wow. Now there is a man. Enough said. He's probably old enough to be like a mentor to my dad or something, but good god what that man doesn't do for travelling and food. I think I want to run away with him... *blush*
It was wierd but I could have sworn I saw someone wearing The Clap in the background of his first show, "why the french don't suck" It could have been ANY scarf, man every other person was wearing a scarf. *note to self, don't give up on erica weiner scarf*
see you later and I hope your knitting is going signifigantly better than my own,
Angela

I just saw the Machinist recently. I really liked it, but it did mess with the mind. Christian Bale looked absolutely awful. So much different than how he looked in Equilibrium or American Psycho. Haven't seen Batman Begins yet.
