Thank you kindlies!
Thank you all so much for your comments; I really appreciated them.
:) About the backhanded New Delhi comment, yes, I figured that the Big Mac would probably be veggie pattie stuff or something, but the point was that you can still walk in to a Mc Donald's in India. Should I change Big Mac to chicken mc nuggets maybe? I wasn't sure which would work best, so I went with the Big Mac because everybody gets what a Big Mac is. Argh, it's so hard to choose...
PLUS... right after I turned it in my teacher turned me on to Pico Iyer's essay, "Why We Travel" which you can find HERE if you are interested, and made me think maybe the McDonald's of the world would be worth the stop. Not sure. PLUS I am on pins and needles waiting for the critique of my story by my classmates. I appreciate what people have had to say thus far. :)

jeez... you could change the "new delhi" to "beijing" or something for those sticklers out there, but I knew what you meant.
Um...i just about tossed my cookies with your review of the roadhouse cafe. I think that's a positive comment on your writing, but could we get a sample of some non food related writing? :o)
Angela,
Thank you so much for the very cool postcard! It was such a pleasant surprise in the mail yesterday. Thank you for taking the time to send it!
Karen :)
Hi Angela: Your welome for the seahorse and thanks for visiting the blog. You sound like your very busy. I stiull have nap time here of course the girls don't nap I do. Luckliy my four year old likes to sit on me when I nap so i know where she is.
I have a theory re. New Delhi. It may seem ticky tacky, however, think about something you care about.. a place, a job, a nationality and think of a time when someone got a key detail about it wrong. How did you feel? And how would you feel if you pointed out and were like "whatever" about it. BTW, Everyone understands they point that you are trying to make, pointing out an issue with it doesn't mean the point is not understood. Also, the "good" writers care about the details. At least that is my guess. Maybe I am getting that detail about good writers wrong. Whatever.
